In 2021 Era-Co contacted me to capture details of the area surrounding a new development in Ashbury. They asked me to shoot a neighbourhood, just a stone’s throw from my home, as if I was a traveller seeing it for the first time.
I marked my map with their locations of interest and set out, day after day, with my camera, to walk, and to notice. I would wake up before dawn, wait until sunset, and monitor fog forecasts... I felt like a scientist on the hunt for something rare and elusive.
Driving past Ashbury Terraces you will spot two images covering the facade from the ground to the top of the two-story building. Inside, one wall displays an exhibition of images along with books of my shots showcasing the development.
